Health Management & Safety Measures
Karuizawa International Japanese Language School places the health and safety of students as its top priority, and works on strict health management and safety measures. In addition to annual medical check-ups, a health room and counseling room are set up to support students in staying physically and mentally healthy. We also conduct disaster prevention drills in preparation for sudden disasters and provide time to learn how to respond in emergencies. Including cooperation with medical institutions, we strive to ensure that international students can enjoy a fulfilling learning environment with peace of mind.

Academic Guidance & Career Support
Our school, with the philosophy of students’ self-realization, provides career support according to each individual student’s aspirations. We regularly conduct career aspiration surveys and interviews, providing individualized guidance depending on the situation. In addition to preparation for various examinations, we implement support toward self-realization such as guidance on how to write application statements and practicing interviews.
Information Sessions on Academic Advancement
We invite university professors and graduates to explain universities to students and provide occasions to share their experience of advancing to higher education.
Individual Guidance
We create advancement plans and study plans according to each student’s abilities, learning progress, and individual circumstances.

We conduct mock interviews and enhance students’ ability to respond flexibly through repeated practice.
EJU Preparation &
University Guidance
There are also preparation classes for examinations required for career advancement. For university admission, we teach Japan-specific methods and provide detailed guidance such as how to write research plans and how to make contact.

We provide total support for international students’ daily lives. On the health side, we introduce necessary medical institutions and provide health consultations. On the lifestyle side, we provide programs to promote understanding of Japanese culture and customs. Guidance on Daily Life in Japan
【1.Daily Life Mindset】
■Punctuality:
In Japan, being ‘punctual with time’ is very strict. Allow plenty of time for meetings, classes, part-time jobs, and any appointments.
■Waste Separation / Following Rules:
Garbage disposal methods differ by region. It is important to confirm how to separate burnable garbage, non-burnable garbage, recyclable garbage, and collection days.
■Quiet Living Environment:
At home or in apartments, avoid speaking loudly or making noise late at night so as not to disturb neighbors. Nighttime noise can cause problems.
【2.Academic Mindset】
■Keep up with classes and assignments:
Attendance and submission of assignments directly affect grades. Especially when renewing a visa, ‘attendance rate’ is very important.
■Consult immediately when in trouble:
If there is something you don’t understand about Japanese or class content, consult your teacher or the international student support desk early. It is important to seek help rather than worrying alone.
【3.Culture & Manners Mindset】
■Value etiquette:
Greetings (‘Good morning,’ ‘Thank you,’ etc.) and the culture of ‘bowing’ are keys to building good relationships in Japan.
■Consideration for not inconveniencing others:
In public places (trains, libraries, restaurants, etc.), being quiet, standing in line, and wearing masks — ‘consideration for those around you’ is required.
■Japanese study is the key to life:
It is useful for daily life, part-time jobs, and conversations with friends. The more Japanese you can use, the more enjoyable life in Japan becomes.
